Our goal at Mid Atlantic Forensics, LLC is to provide cause and origin forensic investigation reports for insurance companies. The investigations range from large-scale structural failures to roofing issues (storm damage - including hail and wind damage) on residential and commercial buildings. Furthermore, we can also provide structural damage repair drawings for permit. We pride ourselves in providing clear conclusions, quick turnarounds on investigations, and excellent communication with the adjusters at a fair price. 

With more than 2,500 forensic engineering investigations completed, our owner, Peter J. Malmquist P.E., has over 30 years of experience in structural engineering and the construction industry. His design experience includes concrete, steel, masonry, and wood projects ranging from the expansion of the U.S. Capitol to historic renovations and residential projects. With a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Norwich University and a M.S. in Structual Engineering from University of Maryland, Peter's experience provides our firm with a unique set of skills, unlike any others in the industry.
